Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure that reshapes the breasts of a woman and provides her with a fuller, firm, and shapelier look that is desired. It can be done by the method of liposuction. In this method, fat from other areas of the body is sucked and is then injected into the breasts. This is gradually becoming a popular surgery as it gives women a desirable look with natural results and does not make the body look too mechanical.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE PROCESS OF BREAST AUGMENTATION: BEFORE AND AFTER?
BEFORE THE SURGERY
This procedure of breast augmentation with fat transfer is pretty straightforward. It is made sure that advanced tools for liposuction are used in order to provide a safe, healthy, and pain–free transfer. The fat can be removed from several regions of the body. Some of them are – thighs, abdomen, or love handles. This is done by using cannulas. Then, the fat that has been sucked out is allowed to sit and is processed in a sterile environment.
After all this, the fat is injected into the breasts of the patients to achieve the desired shape, size, and volume. The patient can usually return home during the same day as the surgery lasts for a maximum of 4 hours.
AFTER THE SURGERY
The size may likely increase by 1 or 1.5 bra cup sizes. Breast augmentation before and after may not cause that much of a difference.
After the surgery, most patients can conduct moderate activity and may take showers as usual. A lot of patients start going back to work within a few days after the surgery. The recovery time after the surgery is a maximum of 7 to 10 days. Some bruising and swelling may be experienced in the region of surgery but there is only a little pain. The areas of liposuction may feel a little sore. However, the plastic surgeon always prescribes mild pain killers to alleviate this pain.
It takes a time of a few months for the results to be seen. The biggest advantage of breast augmentation before and after fat transfer over breast implants is that the breast augmentation with fat transfer is that fat transfer provides more natural results. Unlike breast implants, fat in the fat transfer breast augmentation does not need to be changed. It will take a few months for the results to be seen. However, when the fat cells are adjusted in the new environment, one becomes shapelier for good.
